It’s been a really busy winter for us this year and it’s easy to get caught up in the day to day admin tasks, client appointments, image editing, album designing, wedding exhibitions and a host of other stuff associated with running our wedding photography business. So, I decided to take myself away from it all for one day a do something that was completely different to what I’m used to and headed off to Yarm with Richard Leng to spend the afternoon shooting street portraits and people at work.

I must say I was a little surprised as I wasn’t sure what peoples reaction would be to two guys randomly asking if they wanted their photograph taken in the street however, the people of Yarm are a super friendly bunch! Everyone we asked was more than happy to take a minute out of their daily routine for a chat and have their picture taken. In return we handed them a business card and asked them to email us so we could send the picture to them for free.

Armed with only one camera, one lens and one light, this is my afternoon with the friendly folk of Yarm…
